Hamburg’s only golf resort, the Steigenberger Hotel Treudelberg exquisitely combines sporting facilities of the highest standard with warm hospitality. In addition to a 225-room hotel with three restaurants, an inviting pool, sauna and fitness facility, the hotel boasts a challenging 27-hole course, with nine new fairways ranking among the most spectacular in northern Germany. The existing 18-hole championship golf course, with a total length of 6,019m from the championship tees and a par of 72, was planned by British golf course architect Donald Steel. Extending to over 72 hectares and nestling between the hedgerows of the typically North German landscape, the course challenges beginners and experts alike, with its strategically-placed bunkers, water hazards, and biotopes. The course was impressively extended in 2008/2009 by David Krause, the well-known German-Canadian golf course architect. With a sure touch, he has created a par 36 beauty over a further 28 hectares, which is in a class of its own.The Treudelberg Day Spa welcomes all guests with smoothing and revitalising treatments to make the perfect stay complete. Guests can enjoy massages, soft packs, baths and exclusive facial and body treatments in the eight treatment rooms and the private spa suite in the Day Spa, which extends to over 500sq m and includes a tepidarium and the Salina Vita. The wellness facilities are complemented by the classic Country Club, offering a light and airy swimming pool, various saunas, and a fitness centre with modern equipment.
